A message from Kelly Pereira, Children’s Ministries Coordinator-
As a mother of four, the importance of my children going to a church where they can understand the Word of God on their level is very important to me. There are so many different ways our children can come to learn the love of the Lord here at Peace Lutheran. We are excited to offer the following ministries to our children. Beginning in the Nursery, moving up to Sunday School, Children’s Choir and Junior Church as well as participating in World Vision, and helping out with the food bank. I enjoy working with your children and with our team of great leaders we will strive to bring forth a spiritual and kid-friendly experience to Sundays. If I haven’t met you already, I look forward to the opportunity.

NURSERY
Our nursery at Peace is a safe and nurturing place for babies and toddlers to experience the love of God through stories, crafts and play. Our nursery is staffed with screened adult workers and teen helpers.  Check-in Procedures: Parents are asked to sign their child in and are given a pager to take with them in the event that their child needs them. The pager must be returned to pick up your child who must be signed out by the parent. Ages: Infant to 2 years.  Time: During the 11:00 service in the nursery.

JUNIOR CHURCH
Junior Church is designed to help our kids grow in their knowledge and understanding of God. We will teach them weekly bible stories, arts and crafts based off of the children’s message in church. We will also be teaching them the Apostles Creed this year. We hope to have a fun and interactive journey with your child as they embrace the love of God.  Check-Out Procedures: Children will join you at the 11:00 service and will be released to go to Junior Church as a group after the children’s message. Parents are asked to sign their child out of the classroom at the conclusion of church. You will not need to sign your child out on Communion Sundays; the children will be escorted back to the Sanctuary to join you. Ages: 3 years of age through the 3rd grade. Time: During the 11:00 service in the preschool room.

 SUNDAY SCHOOL
A huge thank you to everyone who registered their children for Sunday School at Rally Day last month!  If you have not yet registered your child, please request a form from your child’s Sunday School teacher.  The form is being used for all children’s ministries, so it will be used for any other ministry your child might be involved in.  Check-in Procedures: Parents are asked to sign their child in at their classroom and sign them out.  If your child is participating in children’s choir, the teacher will escort/dismiss them for choir, but we still need the parent to sign the child out with the teacher at 10:30 and pick up the child’s papers.  We won’t have the kids’ carry their papers to choir anymore.  Ages: 3 years of age through the 6th grade
Time: 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.

JR. CHOIR Jan Kummert brings a lot of energy and love for praising God through music to every rehearsal. She loves working with our children and helping them to be wonderful singers.  Your children will be singing in front of the congregation the second Sunday of every month at the 11:00 a.m. service. Check-in Procedures: Parents are asked to sign their child out of Sunday school and sign them into Children’s Choir. You will be responsible for signing your child out of Children’s Choir. Our Children’s safety is extremely important to us and we want to make sure each child is accounted for at all times. Ages: 4 through the 6th grade. Time: 10:30 – 10:55 a.m. in the fellowship hall

Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Vacation Bible School teaches children about different Bible stories with the help of many youth and adult volunteers. This is a week in late summer full of music, games, stories, and lots of fun! Contact the church if you are interested in signing up children or volunteering to help.
